Poor Grant!

Well yesterday I got out of class and went to meet Grant in a lab in the JFSB and when I got there he was laying on the floor under the computers. He was so sick. He had already thrown up a couple of times. I went and got his car and drove him back to his apartment. He didn't want to go to the doctor, but I was pretty worried about him because he's not a baby about being sick. He was white as a sheet, he couldn't keep anything down, and he was in quite a bit of pain. Finally, I convinced him to let me take him to the emergency room. We had to wait FOREVER to get in, and I didn't know what to do because he was just laying on the floor and he was sweating and it was so scary. Eventually they called us in and they ran some tests and did a cat scan on his belly and we found out that he had appendicitis! crazy! He was not doing very well, so I had to call his mom and dad and his brother and sister. They told us he was going to have to have surgery immediately! His uncle Forest and his cousin came and gave him a blessing and he started to feel a little better. He went into surgery at about 8 pm and got out at 9. He was pretty out of it, but I think he's doing a lot better now. He had lots of people come visit him, mostly cousins (he has 1 million of them) but me and mark stayed with him all the time. I took off finally at 1am. All in all I had been there 11 hours! Mark spend the night with him and then I went back in the morning. They let me take him home today at 1pm.
He's doing well. He can't move too much, but he's being quite a trooper :)
I know mom and dad and em have called a bunch to check how he's doing. Thank you guys so much for your concern and prayers. It was kinda scary yesterday, especially since it felt like I was kind of in charge of him, but I'm so grateful he's ok and that he won't have to spend anymore time in the hospital. I hate being in there again.
Well, I love you all!!

Maren, I am so sorry that Grant went through all of that! And you too. Keep us posted on how he is doing. By the way, I heard a song yesterday that reminded me of our cooking class that we took last year together; that was so fun.

Well, I kind of know how he is feeling! Both of us having had abdominal surgery and all! It is no fun. I know you are taking good care of him.
